Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the VoiceSplitr app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Wanyeki Technologies LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

What information does the Application obtain?

The Application collects the following information when you use the service:

• Receipt Images: Photos of receipts you capture are processed to extract item names, prices, and totals. Images are stored locally on your device.
• Voice Recordings: Voice input describing who ordered what is processed using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework. Transcribed text is stored locally on your device.
• Bill Split Data: Item assignments, split calculations, and session history are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.

All your data remains on your device unless processed by AI services as described below.

Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing

The Application uses AI-powered services to parse receipts and match items to people.

What Data Is Shared

When you scan a receipt or process voice transcripts, the following information is sent to our proxy server and forwarded to Anthropic's Claude API:

• Receipt images (for item extraction)
• Transcribed text from voice input (for item-to-person matching)
• Item names and prices from the parsed receipt

What Data Is NOT Shared

The following data is NEVER sent to third-party services:

• Raw voice recordings: Speech-to-text transcription uses Apple's on-device Speech framework. Your voice audio never leaves your device.
• Personal identifying information: We do not collect or share your name, email, location, or other personal identifiers.
• Payment information: We do not process or store any payment or financial account data.
• Session history: Your saved bill splits remain on your device only.

Who Receives Your Data

• Anthropic (Claude): Receipt images and transcribed text are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to extract items and match assignments. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

How Your Data Is Used

• Your data is used solely to parse receipts and match items to people.
• We do not store your receipt images or transcripts on our servers.
• Our proxy server forwards requests to the AI provider and does not retain any data.

Camera & Photo Library Access

The Application requires camera and photo library access to capture or select receipt images. Images are processed locally and sent to AI services only for receipt parsing. You can revoke access at any time through your device's Settings.

Microphone & Speech Recognition Access

The Application requires microphone and speech recognition access to transcribe voice input describing who ordered what. Audio is processed locally on your device using Apple's Speech framework and is not transmitted to any server. Only the transcribed text is sent to AI services for item matching.

Location Information

This Application does not collect any information about the location of your mobile device.

Data Retention and Deletion

All your data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual sessions or all app data at any time:

• Delete individual bill splits by swiping to delete in the app.
• Delete all app data by uninstalling the Application.

Children

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information through the Application, please contact the Service Provider (babs@wanyekitech.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. Data transmitted to AI services is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to their Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
