Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the TelePrompt AI app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Wanyeki Technologies LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

What information does the Application obtain?

The Application collects the following information when you use the service:

• Speech Content: The talking points and speeches you create are stored locally on your device using SwiftData.
• Practice Recordings: Audio recordings of your practice sessions are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to any server.
• Speech Transcripts: Real-time speech recognition is performed on-device using Apple's Speech framework. Transcripts are stored locally.
• Performance Metrics: Practice session analytics (words per minute, filler word counts, energy scores) are calculated and stored locally on your device.

All your data remains on your device unless you choose to use optional cloud AI features.

Third-Party AI Services & Data Sharing

The Application offers AI-powered speech generation that may send data to third-party services. Before using third-party AI services for the first time, the app will ask for your explicit consent and explain exactly what data will be shared.

What Data Is Shared

When you generate a speech using a third-party AI provider (Claude or OpenAI), the following information is sent:

• Your speech title
• Your talking points
• Selected speech style (e.g., formal, casual)
• Target speech duration

What Data Is NOT Shared

The following data is NEVER sent to third-party AI services:

• Voice recordings: All audio recordings from practice sessions are processed and stored locally on your device only.
• Speech recognition data: Real-time speech-to-text transcription uses Apple's on-device Speech framework. Your voice data never leaves your device.
• Practice session audio: Audio files remain on your device and are not uploaded anywhere.
• Personal identifying information: We do not collect or share your name, email, or other personal identifiers.

User Consent

Before sending any data to third-party AI services:

• The app displays a detailed consent screen explaining what data will be shared
• The app identifies which company will receive your data (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for OpenAI)
• You must explicitly tap "I Agree" to consent to data sharing
• You can revoke consent at any time in Settings, which will require you to consent again before future use
• Consent is requested separately for each AI provider

Who Receives Your Data

Depending on your selected AI provider in Settings:

• Apple Intelligence: If enabled and available on your device, speech generation uses Apple's on-device AI. No data leaves your device. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Claude (Anthropic): If you select Claude as your AI provider, your data is sent to Anthropic's servers. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI (GPT-4): If you select OpenAI as your AI provider, your data is sent to OpenAI's servers. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Offline Mode: Uses basic on-device generation. No data is sent externally.

How Your Data Is Used

• Your data is used solely to generate your speech content.
• We do not store your speech content on our servers.
• Third-party AI providers process your data according to their respective privacy policies linked above.

You control which AI provider to use in the app's Settings. You can switch providers or use offline mode at any time.

Location Information

This Application does not collect any information about the location of your mobile device.

Microphone Access

The Application requires microphone access to record your practice sessions and provide real-time speech recognition. Audio is processed locally on your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can revoke microphone access at any time through your device's Settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

All your data is stored locally on your device. You can delete individual speeches, practice sessions, or all app data at any time:

• Delete individual items through the app interface.
• Delete all app data by uninstalling the Application.
• Your API keys (if provided) are stored securely in the iOS Keychain and are deleted when you remove them from Settings or uninstall the app.

Children

The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information through the Application, please contact the Service Provider (babs@wanyekitech.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage mechanisms. API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain. If you choose to use cloud AI services, data is transmitted using encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to their Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
